Plzensky Prazdroj - Radegast brewery

The Radegast brewery produces an excellent beer of the type of a "classical Czech lager". Following the company's privatisation in 1991, a dynamic marketing strategy was responsible for the company rising to second place among Czech breweries. It is also the second (the first is the brewery in Pilsen) producer of quality malt in its own malt house.

In terms of environmental care the brewery is an example for the whole brewing sector in the Czech Republic. A raft of ecological projects also contributes to improving the beauty of the surroundings, for example the protected regional area of Beskydy.

The Radegast brewery is the most modern in the Czech Republic. In 1995 it was the first in its sector to receive the ISO 9001 certificate. In 1996 it received the International Award for quality and in 1999 the ISO 14001 certificate.
