Relations with suppliers

Plzensky Prazdroj, a.s. guarantees its customers high quality beer. In order to achieve this, it must ensure that the raw materials and other materials used to produce the beer are of the right quality. The company thus seeks to communicate with suppliers about the quality of materials supplied through the SQM system (Supplier Quality Management). The system's philosophy is to approach the supplier as a partner. The common objective is punctual and quality supplies precisely according to the company's needs.

In practice this means that the customer (e.g. bottling house) stipulates how the product should look. The parameters are discussed with the supplier with a view to finding the optimal solution. The supplier then uses a statistical assessment to inform the customer that it will get exactly what it wants. Any service or qualitative shortcomings in the supplies will be described and communicated to the supplier, who will suggest remedial measures in cooperation with the customer.

The supplier management system includes regular meetings between customers and suppliers and supplier controls which constantly assess their ability to provide quality products.
