We have given the world Pilsner Urquell, creating a new beer category, Pils. Nowadays we are at the forefront of the brewing industry in the Czech Republic and produce a number of popular brands. It is these brands that enable us to achieve our aim: to bring pleasure and enjoyment to beer lovers in the Czech Republic and all over the world.
Beer is the Czech national symbol, a fact of which Czechs at home and abroad are rightly proud. The Plzeňský Prazdroj brands are part of our national heritage, Czech culture, and the daily life of Czech people.
The company is an important part of the Asahi Group Holdings which is a global beer, spirits, soft drinks and food company, doing business in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In beer, Asahi has a diverse portfolio of products including the iconic Asahi Super Dry, Pilsner Urquell, Lech, Peroni and Grolsch brands. Together with Asahi Breweries Europe, which also include Plzeňský Prazdroj, Asahi Group Holdings aims to enhance its position as a global player, and with its premium brands satisfy customers with the highest levels of quality.
Plzeňský Prazdroj is at home in the Czech Republic. Our company has been based on Bohemia since the very first batch of Pilsen lager saw the light of day. This is where we make all the important decisions about our brands.
We take a responsible approach to manufacturing and promoting our products, we support the development of the regions in which we operate, and strive to use natural resources as efficiently as possible. We also closely monitor the effect our activities have on the environment and strive to minimise any potential adverse impact we might have.
Our success is based on the talent, enthusiasm and professionalism of our staff. We look after our people as well as we look after the quality of our beer. After all, they’re the most valuable assets we have.
We appreciate our employees. Therefore, we strive to look after them accordingly and provide them with a wide range of benefits. Our biggest wish is for them to be happy at work, as well as outside it.
Enjoy your leisure time how you want to. We offer our employees subsidised tickets to cultural and sporting events, contributions to travel expenses and the chance to enjoy excursions to our breweries.
We give you more time to relax and we reward you for your efforts. As well as an extra week’s holiday and contributing towards meal costs, we also reward our employees for their loyalty, above-average performance and for donating blood, amongst other things.
Your health is important to us. Under our benefits system you can use a special card to pay for first-rate health care, sports activities as well as to rest and relax in selected wellness facilities.
Your future is important to us. This is why we contribute to our employees’ supplementary pension insurance and life insurance schemes.
You won’t go thirsty with us. During the year we provide our employees with supplies of beer for their holidays and Christmas. We also regularly hand our vouchers enabling them to buy our products on special offer.

„I could see the brewery chimney from my home all through my childhood, which is why after finishing secondary school I chose to study chemistry, specialising in brewing and malting. I like the atmosphere and smell of the brewhouse and enjoy being where great things are created.“
