Finalists Of Prazdroj Of Talents Contest And Popular Bands Will Secure Colorful Music Program At Pilsner Fest

As it suites to one of the biggest music festivals in our country, this year’s 20 bands performing at Pilsner Fest will be some of the most popular in the country. The colorful selection of bands will offer guaranteed musical fun for fans of diverse tastes. „I promise that even the lesser–known bands that were selected by people during the public voting of Prazdroj of Talents contest will be a pleasant surprise,“ Roman Holý, Honourary Chairman of the contest jury says.

Those interested in participating in the popular contest Prazdroj of Talents could have applied by submitting their recordings online at www.pilsnerfest.cz by the end of May. Out of nearly 50 applications, the jury, headed by Pavel Anděl selected the 14 most promising ones that will face off in duels during the Summer in Prazdroj event. Fans will have a chance to vote for their favourites on the Pilsner Fest’s website as well as via voting coupons directly at concerts of Summer in Prazdroj festival concert series. The absolute winner will win the engagement at next year Pilsner Fest 2013. The last year’s winner, Grande Tete will perform at this year’s Fest.

Pilsner Fest, the celebration of Pilsen beers Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus will be even richer than usual this year, when the Plzeňský Prazdroj Comp. and Pilsner Urquell beer celebrate the 170th anniversary of their birth. Not only will the programme be full of new faces and surprises; the bars and kiosks will offer a much wider selection of beverages compared to previous years. Next to the „hosts“ – Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus 10° Original, visitors will have a chance to taste whole line of novelties recently introduced to the market by Plzeňský Prazdroj Inc. such as mixed beer drinks Gambrinus Crisp Lemon, Gambrinus Lime & Elderberry, and many others.
