CEO of Plzensky Prazdroj Doug Brodman promoted from Prazdroj to SABMiller Europe

After almost four years at the helm of Plzeňský Prazdroj, Doug Brodman will leave the post on July to join the European Leadership team of SABMiller as Commercial Director for Europe.

Doug Brodman has been leading Prazdroj to evolve the business model to meet market challenges and build an efficient and productive business operation capable of succeeding for the future. During his tenure at Plzeňský Prazdroj, the company launched many innovations, meeting the consumer demand for more variety and a broader range of products (e.g. Gambrinus beer mix drinks, several varieties of Birell, the most popular brand of Czech non–alcoholic beer, extended portfolio of popular Frisco drinks or upper fermented wheat Fénix beer. Prazdroj has also successfully offered many kinds of convenient packaging to its consumers.

Doug´s international experience as well as his experience in General Management, Marketing & Sales brings the commercial acumen that will be valuable also in his new regional role.

Paolo Lanzarotti has been appointed as CEO and Managing Director of Plzeňský Prazdroj and will assume his new responsibilities officially from 1 August 2013. He joined SABMiller in 2005 progressing through a series of Commercial and General Management roles in Italy, India and Slovakia.
