Father’s Day Celebrations: Fathers’ Hike to Říp Mountain, Awarding of New Fathers, and Limited Edition of Pilsen Lager

While Mother’s Day and Day of Children have their fixed position in our calendars, Father’s Day is often forgotten. Nevertheless, according to IPSOS agency survey performed for Pilsner Urquell*, about 15 percent of respondents personally observe the celebrations faithfully. Two thirds of respondents also mentioned that Father’s Day should be remembered and they do agree with establishing Father’s Day as a significant day.

Making Father’s Day more popular has been Pilsner Urquell’s task for several years now. This year, to mark the occasion, they have prepared not only a limited edition of Pilsen lager in unique packaging, but also other events to support awareness of Father’s Day celebrations.

For all fathers and their families, and for all supporters of Father’s Day, we have prepared a Hiking Trip of Fathers to Říp Mountain, „In the Footsteps of Forefather Čech With the Forefather of All Pilsen Beers Pilsner Urquell.“ Besides the hike organised in two paths of different length, great beer, and a celebratory awarding of Pilsen brewery’s gift to Forefather Čech, the participants will have an opportunity to participate in interesting contests for interesting prizes. You can take off to Říp Mountain from Hoštka by the path that is 17.5 km long, or from Roudnice nad Labem by the path that is about 10 km shorter. As a reward, the hike participants will get draught beer and commemorative medals.

Another event that Pilsner Urquell prepared to celebrate this important day is the prize for fathers whose newly born will be born on June 6, 2013. These new fathers may apply until June 18, 2013 via the website www.den-otcu.cz. Three selected fathers will get 50 l kegs of Pilsen lager, which they can use to celebrate the birth of their new offspring.
