Kč. It is the maximum amount allowed by the programme’s bylaws to support an individual project.

“The Beskydy Mountains are our region’s pride and also the home of our brewery and its symbol, the god Radegast. The fire that destroyed Libušín has hurt all of us and so we sought ways to help with its reconstruction. I am glad that my colleagues from the Council of Representatives agreed on the maximum possible financial aid so fast,” said Ivo Kaňák, manager of the Radegast brewery.

The Director of the Valachian Natural Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm Jindřich Ondruš welcomes the contribution of 300 thousand CZK from Radegast brewery: “The reconstruction of Libušín will take much effort and many financial resources. The gift from the brewery is a great help and it also shows that here, in Moravia, we know how to support each other in a time of need.”

The reconstruction of Libušín became the project of the Council of Representatives for the 13th annual grant programme Prazdroj to People. It will be announced this May and Plzeňský Prazdroj will use it to redistribute 2.5 million CZK (about 125,000.00 USD) in Moravia. The members of the Council including Governor of the Moraiva-Silesia Region Miroslav Novák and Special Olympics athlete Radim Běleš, for example, decided on awarding of the contribution to Libušín “per rollam” before the programme’s commencement.

“The slogan of the programme Prazdroj to People is ‘For Future Generations.’ Nothing can fulfil its meaning better than the reconstruction of Libušín house. The realisation of this project will be a clear message to the next generation that we were able to take care of the heritage of our ancestors. I would like to thank the members of the Council of Representatives for their fast reaction to our proposal,” said Director of Corporate Relations and Communications of Pilsner Urquell Drahomíra Mandíková.
