Plzensky Prazdroj obtianed a prestigious award for corporate sponsorship

Citizens’ Choice was evaluated the best regional corporate social investment program

During the festive evening in the residence of
the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Mr. Craig Stapleton,
representatives of Plzensky Prazdroj took over a prestigious VIA BONA
Award for the best corporate social investments projects.

The company was nominated for the “Charitable
activities in regions support” category and got a significant vote from
the independent jury. Members of jury are among others Igor Blazevic of
People In Need foundation, documentary film maker Helena Trestikova,
Robert Casensky, Mlada fronta DNES daily Deputy-Editor-in-Chief, Tyden
weekly Editor-in-Chief Dalibor Balsinek and Corporate Affairs Director of
T-Mobile, Ales Janku. “There are very few companies in the Czech
Republic that support local development in such a complex way as Plzensky
Prazdroj. I believe that Prazdroj’s example will inspire mainly Czech
firms to follow”, A. Janku commented.

Plzensky Prazdroj’s Corporate Affairs Manager,
Michal Kacena, took over the Award “for the unique Citizens’ Choice
project undertaken in Pilsen, Frydek-Mistek and Velke Popovice region”
from Mr.Peter Hero of the american Silicon Valley Foundation, the long-term
supporter of Czech NGOs. Professor Hero also confirmed he is a loyal
Pilsner Urquell consumer.

VIA BONA Award, which was for the sixth time
granted by the VIA Foundation along with the support of several US-based
non-profit funds, proved to be the most prestigious award in the area of
corporate social investment in the Czech Republic.
