Plzensky Prazdroj scored in nearly all categories in the Pivni kuryr Readers’ Survey

Velkopopovicky Kozel was voted the Dark Beer of 2003

At the traditional Pivni kuryr award ceremony,
the podium at the Prague pub U Fleku most often saw the representatives of
Plzensky Prazdroj. It started with General Director Tony van Kralingen
receiving a special award from the Editorial Board – for his contribution
to the development of the Czech brewing industry. In particular, the award
acknowledged the fact that Tony van Kralingen successfully manages the
largest brewery in the country, taking good care of and aiding the growth
of a Czech national gem – the Pilsner Urquell trademark – and contributes
to the popularity of Czech beer worldwide. The successful activities of
Tony van Kralingen as a Managing Director of Plzensky Prazdroj put a stop
to speculations about the future of the leader of the Czech market and
helped to stabilise the overall situation of the brewing industry in the
Czech Republic.
