Prazdroj’s business center in Jihlava is moving

31.8.2010 Company

The hall is directly connected via a highway, which will noticeably improve accessibility to BDC for all its customers. Inhabitants of Střítež can look forward to a new sidewalk and new benches for passer-bys and tourists, which is included in the new development. The sidewalk will be constructed once the municipality receives the building permit and in all probability, it should be finished by this winter. This way, locals will have a continuous sidewalk leading up to the bus stop.

Prazdroj is the biggest distributor of beer in the Jihlava region and its brands, lead by Gambrinusem 11° Excelent, are the most sold in the Vysočina region. “The quality of services which we provide to our customers remains excellent. The new distribution centre will also offer better working conditions for our employees, who will steadily move from the old to the new distribution centre,” highlights Martin Hebnar, Head of the Plzeňský Prazdroj’s BDC Jihlava.

The warehouse of the BDC in Jihlava has an area of 2700 m2 (29,062.56 ft²) and trucks have more than 5300 m2 (57,049 ft²) for manoeuvring. The two-storey administrative building offers employees a total of 700 m2 (7,539 ft²). The main advantage of the new place is a high-quality, modern environment which will further improve the level of distribution and will allow a direct connection to a highway. The BDC will also be using new ecological technology, for example, handling cars instead of gas cars.

The new hall is also architectonically very interesting. The concept is based on cooperation with architectural firms Penta and Fortis and architects Homolka and Huňáček. During the drafting process, all parties took into consideration not only functionality, but also ecological and design aspects.

“During our drafting process, we also evaluated impact on the environment because we were keeping in mind worries from locals about noise levels. I  can assure all those who worried that those drafting this project took this into consideration, especially its effects on the municipality. Therefore, the final draft of the hall is smaller and the hall is shorter than it was originally approved. When locals look from the municipality, they will be looking at a park in the shape of a triangle with water around it. In the park, we will put down grass, plants, bushes and evergreens. We are still discussing the finals with our landscaping architect,” says Pavel Záškoda from the company, LCJ.

Prazdroj has already informed its clients about the change of address; it did so by August 31, 2010. The phone numbers remain unchanged.
