Promile INFO Service Now Available for Windows Phone

Application Promile INFO is used by more than 80,000 people and during the last year alone it processed more than 200,000 requests. By making the application available on another platform, this great tool will find its way to thousands of new, responsible alcohol consumers.

The main advantage of this app is its independence from internet connection or phone signal. The Promile INFO calculator is functional immediately after the download.

The calculations provided by INFO, which are verified by biochemical practices and guaranteed by expert medical examiners, will now be even more accurate. The user may add drinks directly to the timeline in 15-minute intervals. The application can process the alcohol absorption during its consumption now too. Another feature of the app is a speed calculator. Here you can enter the time when you started to drink, how much, and what kind of alcohol you have consumed. The user can add custom drinks to the basic selection of 0.5l of beer, 0.2l of vine, and 0.04l of hard liquor.

Promile INFO services, with its new application, react to the ever-increasing number of mobile phones operating on Windows Phone platform. „In our awareness program about the responsible consumption of alcohol, we use various tools and thanks to modern technology we are able to effectively reach a number of responsible consumers who now get fairly accurate and immediate information about when they can sit behind wheel again, for example,“ Jiří Richter, executive director of civic association SANANIM said.

Next to the association SANANIM – the owner and the operator of the service – Microsoft Czech Republic and Plzeňský Prazdroj Comp. took part in the development of the application. Plzeňský Prazdroj has been the general partner of Promile INFO for six years now and it advertises the responsible consumption of alcoholic drinks.

Civic Association SANANIM is the oldest such an association in Czech Republic (established in 1990) and today, it is also the largest non-governmental provider of services in the field of prevention, care, treatment, and reintroduction back into society of those addicted to nonalcoholic drugs. Today, it operates eleven main facilities – Field Programs, Contact Center, Specialized Health Services CADAS, Day Care, treatment communities Karlov and Němčice, Post-treatment Rehabilitation Center with subsidised housing and workshop, Drug Addiction Info Center, Help Center for Convicts, Work and Social Agency, Parental Advisory Office – and provides a number of growing and additional projects and programs. The most important are auto-phone advisory and info services (Drug Addict Help Line, Promile INFO, Alkotest, etc.), Roma Field Program, and Program for Mothers with Children. Other programs are aimed especially at education, primary prevention, publication activities, and foreign cooperation.

Promile INFO is a project run by SANANIM association and Plzeňský Prazdroj Comp. Since 2007. During the past years, they have developed the website www.napivosrozumem.cz, mobile applications for Android and iOS mobile phones. In 2012, they established   K-LEE-DECK, a rest zone for visitors of summer music festivals where young people may get an expert help and consultation about the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. The project K-LEE-DECK was recognised as the second best project at European CSR Awards.
