Players of FC Baník Will Have to Work for Lost Bet

24.6.2013 Radegast

„Even though it was the coach who entered the bet, we as a team have accepted it as a promise to our fans. We did not think about it for a minute and decided to accept the defeat and take it on ourselves. Moreover, every meeting with our supporters is always a great experience,“ said Baník’s Martin Lukeš, who will stand behind the tap at Parlament. He will take turns with colleagues Václav Svěrkoš and Michal Bárta.

The players’ decision was well accepted by the bet’s winner, Martin Troup: „The players have pleased me. They accepted the defeat as true men. I hope that the fans will appreciate their position and come in generous numbers.“

The place of the fulfilment of the bet was not chosen by chance. The Parlament pub in Poruba is Baník’s fans’ meeting place. It was there where the ideas for the choreographies that made Baník and its fans famous well beyond borders of the Moravia region came to life.
