Radegast day with an overflowing programme will start this Saturday

11.9.2013 Radegast

More than 30 thousand people visited Radegast day last year, and it has thus become one of the biggest attractions in the Moravia-Silesia Region. „I believe that people will not let the unforgettable atmosphere and the rich programme of this event, which takes place under the peaks of Beskydy, to pass them by. Our master brewers have prepared well bitter, unfiltered lager that is now in lager cellars of the brewery and will be drawn right before the event,“ said Karel Kraus, marketing manager of Radegast brand.

The organisers focused on gastronomy this year. The number of taps will be increased by a half to 128 taps. Four beer tanks and 23 beer containers will be in place. The new feature is serving beer in ecological, returnable cups available with a refundable deposit of 50, – CZK (about 1.85USD). Professional caterers with experience in big events will come to Nošovice offering ideal food for pairing with beer, such as kielbasas, pork, steaks and goulash. „We would like to offer maximum comfort and top quality beer and food. A giant pub is another novelty. It will offer 600 places to sit and dozens of taps. The strongest pulse of Radegast Day should be felt most right there,“ Karel Kraus added.

The 21st year of the Czech hockey extraleague will also officially start during Nošovice. The new cup for the previous season’s winner will be on display there. It will be „christened“ with the unfiltered lager by extraleague director Josef Řezníček. Players from Vítkovice, Třinec and Zlín will be available for signing.

The Adrenaline zone will offer seven manly attractions and the possibility of matching one’s strength. On one of the stages, the marketing brew master of Radegast brewery will present the correct method to draw beer, and how to take care of it best. A chopper will also be available for scenic flights above the Beskydy Mountains.

Trains pulled by steam engine will travel to Nošovice and back from Ostrava. Trains and buses will also travel from Frýdek-Místek. The fare is symbolic; a one way ticket from Ostrava is 50,- CZK (about 1.8USD) and a half of that from Frýdek-Místek. A spacious parking lot near the car factory will be available to those who decide to come by car. From there, free shuttles will take visitors to the main event.
