Radegast Day 2014 Will Be the Celebration of Bitterness

22.5.2014 Radegast

This year’s Radegast Day will be the most “bitter” in history. During this time, it is not just the beer that will be bitter, but also the bands that will be playing. Each band will play a song about how life is sometimes bitter too. This task belongs now to Tři sestry, Čechomor, Mandrage, David Koller, Děda Mládek Illegal Band, and the Vypsaná Fixa band. Entrance to Radegast Day is traditionally free.

The music programme at this year’s Radegast Day will be the most colourful in the history of the festival. Every band represents a different genre. There will even be space for the Slepí Křováci band, which succeeded in the talent contest Radegast Nest.

According to Radegast marketing brand manager Karel Kraus, there are other reasons to come to Nošovice: “Especially for the bitter beer, but this year I can promise something very special as well. Bitterness will affect the entire programme, from the competitions for the real men, to tours of the brewery and the school of beer tapping. We recommend marking the second September Saturday in all calendars.”

The main theme will be reflected in the musical performances of the bands. Each of them will play at least one song that reminds us that life is beautiful even in its bitter moments, the ones we must get through.

More than 20,000 people visit Radegast Day every year, which makes it the biggest one-day event in all of Northern Moravia. It is the only event of its type in the Moravia-Silesia region where entrance is free.
