Do not miss a special night tour of the beer brewing museum and the historic underground as a part of the night at the museum 2014

On Friday, May 30, an exceptional opportunity awaits all who seek a non-traditional cultural experience in Pilsen. As a part of the Night at the Museum, Plzeňský Prazdroj has prepared night tours of the Beer Brewing Museum and the Pilsen Historic Underground. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., visitors will enjoy the special atmosphere in these historic places that are connected to the beer and history of Pilsen. In the Underground, visitors may look forward to guided tours every 20 minutes, while in the museum, every guest 18 years and older will enjoy a free small Pilsner Urquell.

Beer Brewing Museum in Pilsen

The Beer Brewing Museum in Pilsen will be open for night tours from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the last tour starting forty minutes before closing to allow enough time to learn about the history of beer. During the tours, visitors will learn interesting facts about the process of making the beer as well as its famous history and tradition in the Pilsen region. Moreover, they will have a chance to see how the great lager barrels are built and will get to know the cooper team from Plzeňský Prazdroj. Those 18 and older will have a chance to enjoy a small Pilsner Urquell lager right from the tap during the tour. During the Night at the Museum, visitors will also have the last opportunity to see the exhibition of photographs from the “Foto Vaneš” family company, which depict Plzeň and Plzeňský Prazdroj over the past 100 years. During this night, the entrance fee is reduced to 25 CZK (about 1.25 USD) per person. There is no need to call ahead of time.

Pilsen Historic Underground

The guided tour will uncover historic life under the town and reveal unknown secrets from the authentic discoveries in the nooks hidden in the Pilsen underground. The Night Tours of the Pilsen Historic Underground will begin at 6 p.m., with the last tour starting at 10:20 p.m. A maximum of 20 people per tour group are allowed, and the tours start every 20 minutes (6:00, 6:20, 6:40, 7:00, 7:20, 7:40 etc.).
