New HumanResources Director for Czech Republic and Slovakia

Ivan Balogh (45), current Group Procurement Manager of Plzensky Prazdroj, is responsible for the HR department in the CR and SR.

Ivan Balogh was born in Slovakia. He studied journalism at the Leningrad University, where he graduated in the early eighties. Upon graduation he was working for the Czech Press Agency in Prague and Bratislava. He moved to Great Britain in the late eighties. Gradually, he worked at several managerial positions for various companies in production, sales and strategic development. Thanks to his wide knowledge of languages, he was one of the pioneers in introducing these companies in the Eastern Europe in the early nineties. He accomplished the MBA at the Consortium of European Universities in Warsaw.

In the year 2000 he started work for the Saris brewery as Business Development Director.

In 2001, after the merger of Saris and Plzensky Prazdroj, his main goal was re-engineering of the procurement systems of both companies, which he accomplished very successfully.

Ivan Balogh speaks Slovak, Czech, English, Hungarian, Russian, Polish and German. He lives in Prague with his 13-year-old son Oliver. He likes sports, literature and he is an active salsa dancer.
