Radegast succeds in the Pivex Gold Cup – Beer 2009 competition

18 breweries entered about 40 beer brands in the Zlatý pohár Pivex – Pivo 2009 competition. During the two-round anonymous tasting, the jury judged the beer’s taste, bite, smell, bitterness and other possible taste qualities.

In the pale lager category, the silver medal went to Radegast Premium beer, and the cheerful evening for Nošovice brewery was completed by a second place for Radegast Birell non-alcoholic beer.

Radegast brewery manager Ivo Kaňák was justifiably proud of the success: “I’m glad the brewery experts appreciated Radegast beer’s high quality. However our main priority are still the consumers themselves. Mainly thanks to the interest of our consumers we are convinced that Radegast is the best beer in Moravia.”

The Zlatý pohár Pivex – Pivo 2009 is a traditional beer competition that is considered to be one of the most objective brand comparisons. Besides the degustation comparison of the brands, laboratory analyses and sensory evaluation are done by Research Institute of Brewing and Malting in Prague.
