15.4.2009 Company

Representatives of Plzeňský Prazdroj and Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism (CCCT) signed a mutual cooperation memorandum today.

Plzeňský Prazdroj and CCCT have common interests in many areas. One of CCCT’s goals is to influence the process of improving food product’s sales conditions, especially with regards to hygiene, biological requirements and sustainable consumption. “As a professional representative, CCCT closely cooperates with respective ministries and supervisory authorities during discussions, and deals with matters of prevention and experience to ensure safety, harmlessness, quality of products, and hygiene in sales as well as in gastronomy. It is a member of the advisory and initiation authority of the Czech government – Council of the Czech Republic for Quality – with expert management of sections for sales quality and travel, spas and hotel industry quality, and participates in administration and execution of the Czech Quality program which sets up a unified system for independent product quality certification,” says Zdeněk Juračka, Confederation of Commerce and Tourism president.

Plzeňský Prazdroj strives for maximum quality of products during both shipping and actual sale to the ultimate consumer to ensure pleasant and cultured environment in stores and draft beer points of sale, including accompanying services. “In this area, we are for instance developing certification programs for establishments that set an example for others with their care for beer (from storage through sanitation to beer tapping techniques), and put into practice technical solutions that support quality of products for the ultimate consumer. For instance, we have invested in a more environment-friendly method of filtration and smaller keg packaging. Our goal is to get the beer to the consumer in the best possible quality not just in restaurants and pubs, but in stores as well. For example, this requires quality storage in a dry and cool place. Also important is a good product display in stores. We can influence all this by ourselves, but the cooperation with the Confederation helps us,” says Jaromír Žáček, Sales and Distribution Director of Plzeňský Prazdroj.

The Confederation of Commerce and Tourism is a top representative of the Czech commerce and tourism respected by entrepreneurs, expert public and state institutions as well as by expert European organizations. Plzeňský Prazdroj is respected as a leading brewing company in central Europe. Cooperation of these two subjects can bring real benefits to Czech customers and consumers.
