Plzensky Prazdroj appointed new Marketing Director

Tom Verhaegen comes from Belgium. He is a Commercial Engineer and graduated with distinction in 1996 from the Catholic University in Leuven, Belgium. He obtained Master in Business Economics & Strategy.

Before joining Plzensky Prazdroj, Tom held Marketing, Sales and Trade Marketing positions in both local operational roles and international strategic roles. He worked in several countries in Europe and North & South America mainly. During his career he was living in Belgium, Netherlands, Brazil and now Czech Republic.

He was acting as International Brand Manager in the British American Tobacco, where he started his career as a Sales Representative. After over 5 years he joined InBev as a Global Manager. During 7 years with the company he changed several position and ended up as a Sales Director On-Trade Belgium. Tom joined SABMiller and Plzeňský Prazdroj this year.

Tom Verhaegen is married to Laura and has no children. He speaks English, Dutch and French fluently, and German and Portuguese on conversational level. He is also aspiring to learn some Czech.

His interests include football, cycling, books, history and travel. Once he would like to make a trip around the world.
